Abstract

The article on “The role of Public Diplomacy in the Mongolia-US educational cooperation: In the case of Fulbright Scholarship” covers fundamental ideas of how the public diplomacy affects bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and U.S., known as a soft power and of how some prominent exchanges programs such Fulbright could be influential to the development of reciprocal relations towards our two nations. The significance of this paper goes to the case study of the Fulbrights exchange programs and scholarships in 1994-2015 upon the comparison between U.S. Government funded and Mongolian Government funded ones. The paper has included some potential statistics of former fulbrighters and their research based on interviews, which were provided by the Public Affairs Section at the US Embassy of Ulaanbaatar.
